TruWiz, Inc. makes SpendFox. You can delete your SpendFox account and everything it stores yourself in the app, or ask us to do it. Either way, your banks are disconnected at Plaid and your data is erased.
In the app
- Open SpendFox and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then the Security section, and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm. If two-step verification is on, enter the code from your authenticator app.
Deletion happens straight away. You’re signed out, and signing in again with the same email starts a new, empty account.
Without the app
If you’ve uninstalled SpendFox or can’t sign in, email us from the address you use for your SpendFox account. We check that the request comes from that address, delete the account, and reply when it’s done, within 30 days.
Or write to support@truwiz.com with the subject “Delete my SpendFox account”.
What gets deleted
- Every bank and card you linked is disconnected at Plaid, so Plaid stops sharing new data with SpendFox.
- Your linked accounts, balances and transactions, with your categories, notes, reviews, budgets and refund trackers.
- Your profile and settings, your sign-in (email, name, Google sign-in link) and your two-step verification setup.
What we keep, and for how long
- Copies kept for recovery by our database host are deleted within 30 days.
- Server logs (time, the function called, errors) are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, then expire on their own.
- Nothing else is kept. To delete just one bank instead of the whole account, disconnect it in the app.
Details are in the SpendFox Privacy Policy.
